Whilst the mediators and family dispute resolution practitioners at Family Law Mediation Centre are appropriately qualified to mediate various styles of matters such as personal injury matters, commercial litigation and estate litigation to name a few we have specifically chosen not to do so. We only undertake mediations and family dispute resolution conferences in respect of two styles of matters relating to family law being property matters and parenting matters.
 Property MattersThis style of mediation relates to matters pertaining to the division of matrimonial assets such as real property, vehicles, superannuation and the like. Our mediators will assist the parties through the entirety of the process in trying to ultimately reach agreement. Sometimes a resolution is not able to be achieved on the first occasion as issues may arise which are outside the parties ability to resolve such as values of certain items. Whilst we are not able to adjudicate your matter our practitioners will guide the parties through the negotiation process to help them generate proposals to try and reach a resolution. |  Parenting MattersWhilst the term parenting matters may seem self explanatory with the assistance of our practitioners you will quickly realise that there are a lot of considerations in relation to your children which you may not have considered. You would have obviously thought of the time the children are able to spend with you and the involvement which you are to have in their life though there are other matters which we will assist you consider with our experience such as school holidays, special occasions and drafting an agreement which whilst it will contain clear boundaries it is also flexible enough to enable you to adapt to the ever changing life of a growing child. |
