The director and founder of Family Law Mediation Centre is Guy McEntyre. Guy has worked in the legal industry for in excess of two decades and in addition to being a admitted solicitor is an accredited mediator and family dispute resolution practitioner. Having acted for parties in hundreds of mediations he became desirous of the ability to mediate in family law matters to assist parties in gaining a resolution without the need to engage in costly protracted court proceedings. In particular Guy has a passion for parenting matters, as in contrast to mediations in other areas of law where a party may receive a substantial award to bolster their bank balance, in parenting matters he takes great value in aiding the parties to a resolution in the best interest of the children. The benefit of this is unnecessary money is not wasted on legal fees but rather can be for the benefit of a child rather than lawyers. There is also great value in seeing certainty for the children to enable them to get through what can be a traumatic time in their life seeing their parents separate which is only worsened by protracted periods of uncertainty. | ![]() |
ContactIn founding Family Law Mediation Centre, Guy has built a team of experienced family dispute resolution practitioners to service parties across the country and in remote locations. The practitioners have access to a central bank of resources to assist them in performing mediations and family dispute resolution conferences and the team collaborates regularly to share experiences in order to improve the service provided to you. The courts are working tirelessly in the family law jurisdiction though the reality is that separations in married and de facto couples is increasing at a far greater rate and as such even the legal profession struggles to accommodate the expanding demand. For all of these reasons Guy has founded Family Law Mediation Centre in the hope that one matter at a time they are able to assist parties in reaching a resolution rather than having to engage in protracted costly court proceedings.
